About the study:

In order to evaluate the clinical utility of expanded multi-gene panels for identifying inherited cancer risk, the authors analyzed data from a diverse cohort of over 76,000 US individuals for whom clinical testing was performed with a panel of 25 genes known to be associated with an increased risk for 8 common cancers with known genetic associations.

About the presenter:

Eric Rosenthal, PhD, ScM, CGC, is the Clinical Content Manager at Myriad Genetic Laboratories. Dr. Rosenthal oversees the clinical content that is included on test results, Myriad’s websites, and other materials that are distributed to patients and health care providers. Prior to joining Myriad in 2006, Dr. Rosenthal was a clinical genetic counselor at the Moores UCSD Cancer Center. He has a P.h.D. in Cell and Developmental Biology from Harvard University, as well as a Master of Science degree in Genetic Counseling from Johns Hopkins University.
